Awesome articles from Signal vs Noise blog
NOTES: Is "content #marketing" dead? Felipe Barbosa asked a question on Inbound.org recently that generated a lot of great conversation, “Do you think content marketing will become so competitive that people will just ignore it?” Reposting my answer:
NOTES: Being tired isn’t a badge of honor. Whenever I speak at a conference, I try to catch a few of the other presentations. I tend to stand in the back and listen, observe, and get a general sense of the room. #entrepreneur
NOTES: Haha, so true... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisk. #entrepreneur
NOTES: UX idea for #Uber (or Lyft, or…). Here’s an idea to make it easier for the driver to identify who they’re picking up, and for the passenger to feel more confident that they’re being picked up by the right driver.
NOTES: Hint: don't just switch to a microservices architecture because you just heard the big tech companies use it. The Majestic Monolith #business
NOTES: Lesson: toss out the assumptions. Do what solves the problem. Why I love ugly, messy interfaces - and you probably do too #business

NOTES: Until the End of the Internet. On software and services built to last
NOTES: The curse of the last word. As the CEO and majority owner of my company, I ultimately have the last word. But because of this, sometimes any word, suggestion, or recommendation is taken as final even when it wasn’t meant to be #entrepreneur
NOTES: Some interesting arguments here including the Cobbler's Shoe Syndrome. Signal v. Noise moves to #Medium
URL shortening is a technique on the World Wide Web in which a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) may be made substantially shorter and still direct to the required page. This is achieved by using a redirect which links to the web page that has a long URL.
For example, the URL "https://example.com/assets/category_B/subcategory_C/Foo/" can be shortened to "https://snip.ml/Foo", and the URL "https://example.com/about/index.html" can be shortened to "https://snip.ml/h2iBY".
Often the redirect domain name is shorter than the original one. A friendly URL may be desired for messaging technologies that limit the number of characters in a message (for example SMS), for reducing the amount of typing required if the reader is copying a URL from a print source, for making it easier for a person to remember, or for the intention of a permalink.
